Bilimora is sutuated in the North-East bank of major navigable river Ambika and on Southern side lies river Kaveri. Yet other river Karera passes from in the vicinity. Thus Bilimora lies very near to the confluence of these three rivers with the Sea.
Bilimora is one of the important towns of south Gujarat. Historically Bilimora was Port Town with predominant trade and transport activity, boat building was a traditional occupation. It is said that the ship "VICTORY" by which Nelson fought and defeated Nepolean was the product of Bilimora. This industry is still surviving though not of prominent as it used to be.
